10 Simple Weight Loss Tips To Help You Lose The Weight And Keep It Off
Starting a weight loss program can be overwhelming. There is so much information out there it can be difficult knowing where to start and what to do. It's made even worse by the fact that a lot of the information contradicts other information.
Some say a diet high in carbohydrates and low in fat is the way to go. But according to other experts you should eat low carbs and high fat. Even the exercise portion of a weight loss program is full of contractions.
But a weight loss program doesn't have to be confusing or difficult. While there are many different approaches, there are also simple concepts that will get you results. With a little planning, you'll be able to maximize the results of your weight loss program.
1. Be Realistic About Your Goals
A big key to sticking to a program is to be realistic about what you are capable of doing. If you hate running, you probably shouldn't make running the cornerstone of your exercise program.
If you only have a half hour a day it doesn't make sense to start out trying to workout two hours a day every day. You'll eventually burn out and quit. And that certainly won't get you the results you want.
Forget extreme diets or exercise programs. Simple is better.
2. Avoid Temptation
This is a difficult one for everyone. Here are two simple things that can help. First, get rid of all the tempting food in the house. If you're going to start eating healthier, there's no reason to keep that bag of chips or those candy bars in the house. In the trash they go.
When you go shopping, do not go while you are hungry. And just like tossing the junk food in the house, don't buy any either. This is a lot easier to do if you're not hungry while shopping. Make a list and stick with it. Keep it simple. Stay away from processed foods and go with the basics like fruits and vegetables.
3. Support Is Key
Sure, some people have the iron will and discipline to do this on their own. However, most people find it a lot easier if they have someone that supports them. It can be the key to sticking with it and getting the results you want. If that's a struggle, you can find support groups or weight loss forums online.
4. Make The Changes Right Away
Don't tip toe into your diet. It can be too easy to get stuck and back slide. When you start your new diet, really start it. Commit to it 100%.
This is the same for your exercise plan. When you do this, you'll get results faster which will help with your motivation to stick with it
This is another reason why you don't want some extreme diet or crazy exercise program. It's too hard to stay with it for the long term. You need a plan that becomes your new lifestyle.
5. Starving Isn't Necessary
You don't need to starve to lose weight. In fact, extreme low calorie dieting doesn't work. You may be able to do it for a while but then the binge will happen. The extreme dieters are the one's that end up gaining back all the weight because they can't stick to the plan.
By making simple changes like eliminating processed foods and eating only whole foods like fruits and vegetables, you'll naturally reduce your calories. You'll feel more full, you'll have fewer awful chemicals messing with your hormones and you'll lose weight without starving.
This doesn't mean you have to always eat boring food. There are tons of healthy low-calorie recipes out there to try.
6. Small Changes Can Make Big Differences
Stop drinking that Coke and try some flavoured water. Or even a "diet" soda. Sure, it's not the greatest option but it's a better option. By making better options, you're on your way to a better you.
7. Exercise Matters
If all you do is diet, you'll not only lose fat but about half the weight you'll lose will be muscle. This will make your metabolism slow down which will make it harder to lose more weight and to keep off the weight you've already lost. You need both diet and exercise to really reshape your body and keep the weight off.
You don't have to live in the gym. A good 15 minutes to a half hour a day will do wonders over the long term. Go for walks. Ride a bike. Do body weight exercises at home. Play tennis or another activity you like.
8. Drink More Water
Very few people drink as much water as they should. You definitely need to get your eight glasses per day. This will not only help with weight loss but it will help with your health as well.
9. Keep A Health And Fitness Journal
It's important to keep track of what you do. This will not only help with motivation but will keep you accountable as well.
10. Add Phen375
Phen375 includes all natural ingredients that may help you lose extra body fat as well as boosting your metabolism so that you burn more calories every day.
